EXHUMED: A rare demo from true Norwegian black metallers Urgehal will be seeing a rerelease courtesy of Folter Records. The 'Rise of the Monument' album was originally released in 1995 on tape and then as a limited 2006 picture disc, but will now be seeing the light of day in CD format and feature a bonus 45-minute live set from the Under the Black Sun Festival in 2008.

NEW BLOOD: Swedish pagan metal practitioners Manegarm have posted a second track from their upcoming album 'Nattväsen' (translated to mean 'Night Creatures'). 'Vetrarmegin' (or 'Winterforce') showcases the violin-toting Swedes at their folkiest, blackest best, and will be included on the new album -- look for an Oct. 22 release on Regain Records.

BLACK METAL RETURNS: Swedish Black metal tyrants Watain have -- during and since their 111-date-long F--- the World Tour -- been working in silence and secrecy on what is to become the band's fourth full-length album. The band states: "We can now reveal the long awaited first live performance to break the silence. Watain will return to the stage at the Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore ... on the [May 28, 2010], alongside legends such as Autopsy, Pentagram and Possessed. This will be the first performance done in relation to the new Watain album, to be released worldwide only weeks after the show through Season of Mist."

A LONG ROAD TOWARDS HELL: German progressive black metallers Secrets of the Moon recently released their jaw-dropping fourth full-length, 'Privilegivm' via Prophecy/Lupus Lounge, and will be heading out on tour to indoctrinate North America with their dark arts. Also appearing will be goth metallers Moonspell, the ex-Fear Factory dudes in Divine Heresy and the gnarly black/death maniacs Book of Black Earth.
