Song: "Afterlife"

Album: Afterlife EP

RIYL: Nightwish, Epica, Evanescence

About the song:

"Lyrically, 'Afterlife' deals with losing a loved one and the heartbreak that goes with that, followed by confusion, pain and, eventually, comfort in the belief that you'll see that person again. I think it's something to which many people can relate.

"This song came together really naturally and organically. Brett [Hestla, producer] and I recorded the vocals at Groovemaster Studios in Chicago, and the instruments were recorded at his Florida studio. Vocally, it's a bit operatic, but it's also definitely a rock tune, with big guitars and an anthemic feel. Hopefully the message provides someone out there comfort."
