Suicidal Tendencies Postpone Tour Due to Family Emergency
Legendary skate-punks Suicidal Tendencies have been enjoying a bit of a resurgence of late, thanks in part to their latest release, 'No Mercy Fool!/The Suicidal Family,' which revisits some of their earliest material. While their momentum is still building, on Tuesday the band announced that they had to cancel all of their currently-scheduled tourdates, effective immediately. But don't worry -- they'll be back. Soon.
"Sadly, one of the band members had a parent pass away suddenly and needed to fly home to be with his family in this difficult time and handle all the funeral arrangements," reads a statement on the band's official website. "With heavy hearts, the band decided it would be best to postpone the remaining Suicidal Tendencies shows and make them up sometime next year. We appreciate your understanding, your thoughts and your prayers."
The band asks ticket holders to be patient over the next few days until they can get things sorted and offer refunds. "Again, we are so sorry to have to postpone these shows," the statement reads. "We'll do our best to make the dates up." Our thoughts and condolences to the band member and his family at this time.
