Sonic Syndicate Bassist Karin Axelsson Is Pregnant

Noisecreep would like to offer a hearty congrats to Sonic Syndicate bassist Karin Axelsson. She is pregnant with her first child, which is due the first week of October, so she is about five months along.

Blabbermouth reports that Axelsson, who joined the Swedish metal band in 2004, said, "Please welcome the next generation Axelsson." Let's hope the "next generation Axelsson" learns to rock liker his or her mom! It's likely, since the baby will have mom's musical DNA in its veins.

Sonic Syndicate have been quiet as of late, having released We Rule the Night back in August of 2010 and embarking on a hiatus in the fall of 2011. The band will emerge from the period of inactivity by co-headlining the Vekeri Fesztival in Hungary, which runs from June 21 through June 23.

It is assumed that Axelsson will play the gig, even in her delicate condition. That makes her rock even harder, doesn't it? Playing with pregnant means she is one bad-ass mom-to-be.
