Now that all of Slayer's DVD are out of print, the Los Angeles thrash masters are reissuing all three of their discs separately and as a box set package for $29.98. On Aug. 17, the band will reissue 1995's 'Live Intrusion,' 2003's 'War at the Warfield' and 2004's 'Still Reigning.' All three have been digitally remastered and feature bonus material.

'Live Intrusion' was recorded on March 12, 1995 at the Mesa Amphitheatre in Mesa, Ariz. and features guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, bassist/vocalist Tom Araya and drummer Paul Bostaph. The disc, which is certified gold, includes classics such as 'Raining Blood' and 'War Ensemble,' as well as earlier material like 'At Dawn They Sleep' and 'Captor of Sin.' As a bonus, Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn and thier former drummer Chris Kontos join Slayer for a cover of Venom's 'Witching Hour.'

The beginning of 'Live Intrusion' includes a portrait of some of Slayer's most die-hard fans, including one from the mid-'90s who had the band's name carved onto his forearm. The band created the DVD using the original VHS master and edited the footage with the latest technology.

"I remember around 'God Hates Us All,' [2001] asking when we were going to make a DVD of 'Live Intrusion,'" Recalled King. "So, here we are, 10 years later, and it's about time."

Slayer's second DVD 'War at the Warfield' was filmed at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco on Dec, 7, 2001, and like 'Live Intrusion,' features drummer Paul Bostaph. The DVD was the drummer's final appearance with the band. The DVD includes 'Seasons in the Abyss,' 'Mandatory Suicide' and 'Disciple.' 'War at the Warfield' debuted at three on Billboard's DVD chart and has been certified gold.

"We recorded 'War at the Warfield' in that minute with Paul after 'God Hates Us All' came out," King told Noisecreep. "But it didn't come out until 2003 when Dave was back in the band, and people were watching Bostaph on the DVD. So we're like, 'OK, we've gotta do another DVD with Dave because that's what people want to see now.' So that brought out the idea for the 'Still Reigning' DVD."

Filmed at the Civic Center in Augusta, Maine on July 11, 2004, 'Still Reigning' -- also gold certified and voted Best Live DVD by the readers of Revolver magazine -- was directed by Dean Karr and reveals Slayer playing their 1986 classic 'Reign in Blood' in its entirety. The end of the video features the 'Wall of Blood,' with the band, their instruments and the stage completely drenched by a downpour of 150 liters of 'blood.'

"It kinda hits a primal nerve to be covered in blood," guitarist Jeff Hanneman told Noisecreep. "It's a real rush. But it was weird because the blood shorted out the sustain on the guitars, and it was hard to play because the necks were so slippery."
