Shadows Fall
are currently finishing up their first headlining tour through Canada. Throughout next week, the Massachusetts-based metal band will cover ground with Baptized In Blood in Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City before taking a break from the road. They've been touring since late January in mostly Western US territory in support of their latest record, 'Retribution,' which came out on Everblack Industries, their own label, last September.

3/5 -- London, ON -- Music Hall

3/7 -- Ottawa, ON -- Mavericks

3/8 -- Montreal, QC -- National

3/9 -- Quebec City, QC -- Imperial

After a few months, the band will return in mid-July to embark on a sweet spot on the Mayhem Festival lineup -- an opening one. Frontman Brian Fair says he prefers it because the audience isn't spent and there's plenty of beer to drink following their performance. "Mayhem has lots of great bands on it," he recently told Noisecreep, "so that definitely makes the all-day shows that much easier." The union of bands from all eras of metal and hard rock are one of Fair's favorite things about festivals.

The 2010 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival will also feature Hatebreed, Chimaira and Winds of Plague on the same stage as Shadows Fall. Starting in California in early July, the festival will hit most major cities in the U.S. and end in mid August in Oklahoma City.
