The 6th annual Monster Energy Drink Rockapalooza festival will kick off on June 21 with a free pre-party, while the main festival will take place on June 22 and will close with CountryPalooza, its new sister festival. Candlebox, Saliva, Hurt, Smile Empty Soul, Taproot and more are set to perform, with a slew of local acts also populating the bill and several stages. Go here for more details.

David Draiman and his new band Device are going on tour. The band, which will issue its self-titled debut on April 9, have Gemini Syndrome and Nonpoint serving as support on select headline dates. Some of these shows are festival gigs.
