Paradise Lost Unveil Details of Upcoming Album ‘Medusa’
British goth veterans Paradise Lost have been hard at work on their latest album, and are now revealing some details. Their fifteenth studio effort will be titled Medusa, set to be released at the end of summer via Nuclear Blast.
Guitarist Greg Mackintosh says, “The new album will be slower, sludgier and more doom filled than ever before." He adds that it will be "eight riff laden monster tracks of sheer Northern misery.”
Paradise Lost have been recording the disc at Orgone Studios in Woburn, England. They are once again working with Jaime Gomez Arellano, who produced 2015's The Plague Within.
It will be the first album for drummer Waltteri Väyrynen, who joined the group in 2015. He replaced Adrian Erlandsson, who had to depart due to commitments with his other projects including At the Gates and The Haunted.
The band has some live shows coming up over the next few months. They have three Russian dates in May, followed by several European festivals such as Download Festival France, Rock Fest Barcelona and Wacken Open Air. For their complete tour schedule, go here.
We'll let you know as soon as Medusa has an official release date.
