Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine to Drive Pace Car at 2015 Sprint Cup Cheez-It 355

These are good times for Megadeth's Dave Mustaine. The rocker is wrapping up his first Megadeth album with new players Chris Adler and Kiko Loureiro, the lineup recently got in their first live date and this weekend he's set to indulge his racing passion by getting to drive the pace car at the 2015 Sprint Cup Cheez-It 355.

The rocker has been tweeting about his involvement with the race at the historic Watkins Glen International raceway at Watkins Glen, N.Y., for a good portion of the week, even giving racecar driver Matt Kenseth a good ribbing along the way. Check out his posts on the race below:

The Cheez-It 355 race takes place this Sunday (Aug. 9) at the Watkins Glen International raceway, but there will be events going on through the weekend beginning today. For all details and tickets for the race, be sure to click here.

As stated, Megadeth are winding down the recording of their new studio album. Mustaine also just tweeted that "some killer announcements" were coming this month and teased "pretty sure some new music too." Stay tuned.
