Jeff Scott Soto, ‘Look Inside Your Heart’ Video: Melodic Rock Giant Returns — Exclusive Premiere
With a resume that includes stints in Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force, Journey, Soul SirkUS, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and countless session appearances, Jeff Scott Soto is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after vocalists in hard rock for the past three decades.
As busy as Soto is, the Brooklyn, N.Y. native still found time to record 'Damage Control,' his latest solo album. The record was tracked in the fall of 2011 and features guest appearances by Jamie Borger and Nalle Påhlsson (Treat), Casey Grillo (Kamelot), and Dave Meniketti, founding member of Y&T.
In this Noisecreep exclusive, we proudly bring you the video premiere of 'Look Inside Your Heart,' the first single from the 'Damage Control.' The song features Soto collaborating with Night Ranger guitarist Joel Hoekstra, who can also be seen in the video.

"We shot the video while I was out on tour with Trans-Siberian Orchestra," Soto tells Noisecreep from a studio in Europe where he's currently recording the highly-anticipated sophomore album from W.E.T., the AOR supergroup that also features Erik Martensson and Robert Säll. "I had originally wanted to do something in the vein of the movie 'The Sixth Sense,' but then someone told me Nickelback had already done that in one of their videos [2011's 'Someday'].We were on a shoestring budget, so we had to scramble and figure stuff out. It was a nightmare at one point, but I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Look, we know it's not going to be all over MTV or anything, so we filmed the video more as a bonus for fans that want to buy the album on CD," says Soto of the 'Look Inside Your Heart' video.
For you melodic rock trivia geeks out there, the actress in the video is Soto's real-life girlfriend, Elena.
