Leave it to Noisecreep and Immolation guitarist Bob Vigna to tell you how awesome the song 'The Purge,' from their forthcoming album 'Majesty and Decay,' due out on March 9 through Nuclear Blast, is. But we invite you to take a listen for yourself. The ominous, haunting song represents these New York death metal stalwarts at their best.

"We felt that if we were going to showcase any one song for everyone to preview 'Majesty and Decay,' then this one was it," Vigna told Noisecreep. "'The Purge' is a very aggressive, but dark track. It really touches on all the variety Immolation offer and gives a nice insight into the direction and overall feel of our new record: the dark heavy parts, the intense speed, the unexpected breaks. It's a very diverse song from a very diverse album."

Vigna also admitted that "I think our fans are really going to dig this track and the album overall. The production is our best yet and music is pure Immolation: twisted, sinister and dark as hell! We hope everyone enjoys it!"

Go ahead, get your fill of twisted, sinister and dark as hell with 'The Purge.' Warning: headbanging will undoubtedly ensue.
