Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale recently teamed up with Beacon Audio to design her own version of Beacon Audio’s new Blazar Bluetooth speaker. Hale is just one of a number of artists working with Beacon Audio to create special editions of the Blazar speaker, which are only available to those who pledge to Beacon’s Kickstarter fund. Each special artist edition is limited and numbered.

The Blazar is a small speaker that allows users to stream music from any Bluetooth device and the ability to control music playback from the speaker. One of the speaker’s unique features is the ability to have true split-sound stereo through two Bluetooth-connected units.

Beacon Audio says the Blazar has a 12-hour battery life, is very easy to use, and can connect to just about any smartphone, tablet or laptop wirelessly. Each speaker produces its sound from two small speakers and a subwoofer on its bottom. Controls on top of the speaker move forward and backward through tracks and increase and decrease volume.

In addition to Bluetooth connectivity, the speaker has a 3.5mm auxiliary input for music players that don’t have Bluetooth capability. At just under 4 inches tall and wide, the Blazar doesn’t take up much room in an office or kitchen and should be easy to transport.

The Lzzy Hale limited edition Blazar is yellow and has a white guitar pick on the front sporting the Halestorm logo. A pledge of $159 secures one, $179 gets a Halestorm speaker and a t-shirt, and $319 lands backers a t-shirt and a matched pair of signature Halestorm speakers. Other artists who’ve designed Blazar speakers include Aaron Bruno of AWOLNATION, Brantley Gilbert, and Tyler Glenn of Neon Trees.

Lzzy Hale and Halestorm are currently on tour throughout the U.S. In October, they head out on tour in Europe. To check out the Blazar Bluetooth speaker, check out Beacon Audio's Kickstarter page.
