German thrash dealers Exumer first hit the international metal scene with their one-two punch, Possessed by Fire and Rising From the Sea. The albums (released in 1986 and 1986, respectively) are still cherished by a small army of cultists and still hold up today as some of the best European thrash metal of that era.

Sadly, after being plagued by membership woes for a couple of years, Exumer broke up in 1990. Outside of a 2001 reunion show at the famed Wacken Open Air Festival, the group remained inactive throughout the years. Luckily for fans of the band, Exumer got back in business in 2008 and have been keeping busy ever since, even hitting American shores in 2009 as special guests at the Thrasho de Mayo Festival in Los Angeles.

In 2011, Exumer went into the studio with producer Waldemar Sorychta (Therion, Moonspell) and completed work on Fire & Damnation, their first album in 24 years. Even though it won't hit stores till April 10, Noisecreep is unveiling "The Weakest Limb," a track off the album today.

Exumer have been confirmed to play a series of live shows in South America in May and June, 2012. The trek will take the band through Argentina, Chile and Brazil. Danish thrash masters Artillery are joining them on the whole tour. These shows will be Exumer's first appearances in South American in 24 years, where the band last played in Brazil in 1988.

Vocalist Mem V. Stein comments: "We have been waiting for this moment for a long, long time! It's a huge milestone in our career to return to Brazil after 24 years, where there are numerous online communities that wholeheartedly embrace Exumer and where our fans have been loyally following us since our first appearances in the 1980s. There could hardly be a more cult tour package, between Exumer and Artillery, to hit South America and the timing could not be better for us to return there shortly after the release of our new album."

Exumer's Fire & Damnation will hit American stores on April 10 via Metal Blade.
