The Deftones are the latest act to get the lullaby treatment. Lullaby Versions of Deftones is now available for cool parents who want to rock their newborns to sleep with softer, lighter versions of 'Tones tunes. The 14-track set focuses mostly on later-era material (and a Smiths cover!) from the Sacto band. You can nab it here.

Reunited and it feels so good. Pennywise have reunited with original vocalist Jim Lindberg. The band will be celebrating Lindberg's return with a gig at the Palladium in Los Angeles on January 18, 2013. Tickets for this special show will be on sale Friday, Nov. 2.

The band's official statement on Lindberg's return is as follows:

We're happy to announce that Jim is rejoining Pennywise and we're all looking forward to playing music together again. We're going to celebrate our re-union with a show at the Hollywood Palladium January 18th to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Pennywise for our friends and fans in L.A. [Via Press Release]

Hot Water Music will embark on their first headline tour in eight years in January and February of 2013. La Dispute and The Menzingers will provide the support. The tour launches in Tampa on Jan. 16, wrapping in Seattle on Feb. 10. Go here for more info. [Via Press Release]

Vera Mesmer, featuring onetime Coal Chamber bassist Nadja, will release their new EP Orphans. It's out on Nov. 8 but you can take an advance listen to it at this link.
