Last night (Oct. 5), the mighty Coheed and Cambria played a rare club gig at the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles. The band was in town for, among other things, to shoot a video for a tune from their much-anticipated release, The Afterman: Ascension, which comes out next Tuesday, Oct. 9.

The show was an intense, sweat-drenched epic; a packed to the rafters singalong that left the die-hards wiped out and satisfied. In addition to Coheed and Cambria classics such as "Welcome Home," "In Keeping Secrets" and "The Suffering," the set also featured the live debut of two new songs, "Key Entity Extraction II: Holly Wood the Cracked" and "Goodnight, Fair Lady" -- both from the new album.

After the show, Noisecreep the chance to talk to speak with singer/guitarist Claudio Sanchez and caught the entire thing on camera!
