Paul Allender, lead guitarist Cradle of Filth, is getting in on the trend of offering guitar lessons online. He will make the instructional classes available via Skype.

"After being a professional player for almost 20 years, I decided I wanted to start teaching guitar to fans who wanted to learn," said Allender. "The best way I could think was to teach over Skype. My lessons have been up and running for a month now and are going very well. Lessons have also evolved past guitar; I teach songwriting and arranging and how to use Pro Tools as well as advice for anyone who wants to get ahead in the industry."

It's a collision of two heavy metal titans, as Earache Records and Century Media have entered into a brand new licensing agreement. CM will license Earache's physical catalog of CDs and LPs in the U.S. Earache's digital distribution of its ever-important back catalog and new releases remains in-house and unchanged.

The deal allows for physical versions of all future releases and titles from Earache's classic back catalog to be released as an array of collectible LPs and CD box sets. With Century Media's team of catalog specialists, fans can expect an exciting variety of fantastic collectibles to be released on the U.S. market in the near future.

So what this means for metal fans is that more Earache releases will be widely available and collectible editions of classic material will also be obtainable. This is a good thing for the genre!
