Cage the Elephant recently revealed 'Melophobia' as the title of their upcoming third studio album and now we're getting the first taste of new music with the single 'Come a Little Closer.'

The band recently offered a sneak preview of the track as it was being recorded in the studio, but now we get the full thing. The track comes off as a more haunting and melodic Cage the Elephant than we're used to, with a mid-tempo opening feature Matt Shultz's affected vocals.

But don't sweat it Cage fans, as the song picks up the pace and rocks a little harder during the chorus after floating through the verses. And like we've come to expect, there's a certain abandon and live wire energy that shines through in Cage the Elephant's music.

'Come a Little Closer' will be available via iTunes and all digital providers on Aug. 13. It'll appear on 'Melophobia,' which is expected in stores this fall. Cage the Elephant return to the road in September, sharing stages with Muse for a number of shows.
