The Black 'n' Blue Bowl -- formerly the Superbowl of Hardcore -- is being exhumed and will play out at New York City's Webster Hall on May 15. This marks the return of the Bowl to the place where it all began back in 1988.

The lineup fuses the old with the new, the classic with the current, the past and the future, including not-to-be missed sets from Cro-Mags, Madball, H2O, Skarhead, Trapped Under Ice, Wisdom in Chains, Sand, Cruel Hand, H8 Inc, Incendiary and Yuppicide, who will be playing their first show since 1998.

Doors will open at 2 PM. Pre-sale tickets are available online at www.pitchforkby.com, at NYHC Tattoos, Generation Records in Manhattan, as well as Brooklyn Monster Factory and Sayville, Long Island's Lotus Tattoo, which is owned and operated by Civ of Gorilla Biscuits/Civ fame.

Is it just me or does it really transport you to an era gone by to be purchasing tickets for shows anywhere else than online? We used to buy tickets at Blockbuster Video, Boscov's and at record stores. So props to the organizers of the Black 'n' Blue Bowl for putting together an old-fashioned lineup with an old-fashioned way of buying tickets.
