Before Their Eyes

Before Their Eyes, the Ohio-based, post-hardcore band featuring ex-members of Drama Summer, will release their latest effort for Rise Records on March 9. The band has a very visual element, something that's key in an over-saturated market populated with too many bands. "I think it's very important to have a theme to what you are doing and a reason," lead singer Nick Moore told Noisecreep. "Our music is very honest, and it tells a story and the visual element goes right along with that. I think it's important for every artist."

Moore also says the band is adamant about not catering to genre rules and specifications or any scene politics, either. "We are a band that writes the type of music that we want to write," he said. "We don't limit ourselves to a genre and what we are feeling will show through the music. If we want to write a pop rock song, we'll do it -- and then turn around the next day and write the heaviest breakdown you've ever heard. We stay true to ourselves and this will show through our music. Ultimately, our goal is to write great, special songs, great songs that excite us and listeners. That is most important to us!"

The band will head out on the road with Saosin and Maylene and the Sons of Disaster imminently, before heading out on a handful of domestic and Canadian dates with Blessthefall. "It's going to be a busy spring, and we couldn't be more excited," Moore said.

The band's Rise Records debut is out March 9.
