It's the end of an era for Los Angeles music fans, as the House of Blues Sunset Strip is preparing to shutter its doors. But before the longtime staple of the Sunset Strip bids adieu, Anthrax will have the opportunity to play the final metal show at venue, which will be torn down to make room for a new complex containing hotels, condos and retail space.

The group will offer their send-off on Wednesday, July 29, with tickets for the blow out just having gone on sale through Ticketmaster, the Live Nation app and at the House of Blues box office. Click here to pick up tickets.

"Every show we've done at the Sunset House of Blues has been a party," says Anthrax bassist Frank Bello. "Everyone who we're friends with who's not on tour shows up, either to jam or drink or just hang out. And I'll really miss that. Sunset Boulevard has lost its last great place to play."

Drummer Charlie Benante adds, "The memories that have been created will always live on for anyone who went to the HOB. I feel honored and privileged to have this last chance to blow the roof off of the HOB. The Strip will soon end up looking like a corporate strip mall, no memories there."

As Benante hinted, the House of Blues venue is being cleared out for the current renovation of the area that will include a new hotel, housing and a retail complex. The venue, which has long championed the metal scene, will officially close on Aug. 7.

Anthrax are promising to put together some special ideas and cool surprised for their Sunset House of Blues bow, and given that they're readying a new album, it's best to hop on those tickets while there's a chance.

Look for Anthrax playing a number of festivals and taking part in the Motorhead Motorboat Cruise in the coming months. The band's new studio album is expected in early 2016.
