Andrew W.K., My Little Pony Convention: Rocker Will Speak on ‘What Would Pinkie Pie Do?’
Of course Andrew W.K. is a "Brony." For the uninitiated, that term refers to grown male fans of "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic," a cartoon series as splashy and relentlessly positive as W.K.'s party-centric songs and motivational speeches.
According to Prefix, W.K. will formally enter the Brony fray in September, when he appears at a My Little Pony convention in Ohio. The event is called "Canterlot Gardens," and Andrew will take part in a panel called, "What Would Pinkie Pie Do?"
As per Wikipedia, Pinkie Pie is "an earth pony" that is "very friendly, hyper, air-headed, and quite random at times." No wonder W.K. identifies so closely with the character. Prefix says he'll focus on "how to make your work as fun as your party," and vice-versa, which is certainly a valuable lesson.
Canterlot Gardens goes down September 28 through 30 in Strongville, Ohio. For information on registration, click here -- preferably when your boss, wife, girlfriend, friends and/or parole officer isn't looking.
