Andrew W.K. is up for just about anything, as evidenced in the past year alone by his participation in the 'My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic' fan conference, playing a keyboard solo that sent a million-volt jolt through magician David Blaine's body and serving as a pitchman for Playtex's Fresh + Sexy Wipes. The singer's next adventure will be to attempt to set a world record by drumming for 24 hours straight.

The attempt is part of the O Music Awards promotion, with W.K. trying to set the endurance mark. The rhythmic feat is part of the O Music Awards Live Music Day Festival that is taking place exclusively during the live awards event on June 19. The festival is set to kick off at 7PM ET/4PM PT and will last for 24 hours. It also promises to feature 50 bands, five kittens and one goat. Fans will be able to watch the entire thing via the OMusicAwards.com website.

Throughout W.K.'s attempt, surprise drummers will drop by and jam with the musician, helping to keep his passion and energy going as he tries to keep the beat for a full day. The Roots drummer ?uestlove will join W.K. for the first portion of his musical quest. The hard-partying musician said of his pending challenge, "When the O Music Award first told me about this event, I felt a combination of excitement and pure fear. I began to realize that actually playing drums for a few hours would be challenging, let alone 24 hours non-stop! This feat is rhythmic endurance is going to push me to my party limits. Pounding out a beat for an entire earthly rotation will be a life-changing and life-threatening adventure."

World records have become synonymous with the O Music Awards as Chiddy Bang previously set the mark for longest freestyle rap and Wayne Coyne and the Flaming Lips set the world record for most shows played in a 24-hour period (multi-city).
