It was reunion time in New Jersey on Tuesday, July, 24, when Run-D.M.C. member Darryl McDaniels joined rockers Aerosmith onstage at the Izod Center in East Rutherford. DMC hit the stage with Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and company for a rendition of their dual-decade hit "Walk This Way."

The song was a smash twice in its lifetime, and nearly 10 years passed in between each rendition. It was a hit for the Boston rockers in 1977 and also in 1986 when they collaborated with the Queens rappers on a refurbished version. Remember the video, when Tyler used his scarf-covered mic stand try and bash through the adjacent studio, eventually breaking through to the other side and mashing up with the hip-hoppers? It's a classic image of the MTV era, that's for sure.

Check out the photos from the live duet! It feels like just yesterday that this rap-rock collision took the airwaves and MTV by storm. It was certainly a partnership for the ages.

Aerosmith are currently on the road for their 'Global Warming Tour' and gearing up for the release Music From Another Dimension, which is slated to drop on Nov. 6. Tyler was recently freed of the time crunch and commitment that came with two seasons of American Idol judging and is now focusing on what he does best: rocking your face off alongside Joe Perry.
