Shinedown To Headline 2013 Carnival of Madness Tour

Shinedown have been hinting at their participation in the Carnival of Madness tour for several days and now it's official. The band, who helped create the festival and headlined its inaugural year in 2010, will return to front the 2013 edition.

The 2013 trek will also feature Papa Roach, Skillet, In This Moment and We as Human. However, it is still unknown as to when the trek will start or which cities will host the run, as the festival tour is holding off on that announcement until June 3.

"Carnival of Madness is more than a show--it's an experience," says Shinedown frontman Brent Smith in a press release. "This year, it's all about reinvention. The culmination of five powerful and dynamic bands joining together to prove to the world that rock-n-roll is alive and well. So, step right up. Come one, come all. The Carnival of Madness has arrived!!!"

In the interim though, fans might be able to glean some extra information out of Shinedown frontman Brent Smith, who is hosting what he calls a virtual meet-and-greet this afternoon at 6PM ET/3PM PT. Cleverly titled a "Shindig," the event will allow fans to ask their questions about the upcoming festival. Check here to participate in the "Shindig."
