Metallica's James Hetfield recently stated that the band was in the final process of completing their 'Metallica Through the Never' 3D film and it looks as though things are close enough to finally share with an audience as the movie's first trailer has arrived online.

The film, which stars Dane DeHaan as a Metallica roadie sent on a difficult mission during the band's performance, is set to debut this fall in IMAX theaters across the country. The movie will first play IMAX theaters only on Sept. 27 before expanding to additional cineplexes on Oct. 4.

In the film, DeHaan stars as Trip, who is sent on a harrowing mission in which he encounters protestors, riots and yes, a masked horseman while trying to complete his task. Meanwhile, Metallica's concert set soundtracks the entire thing.

In addition to the new trailer, Metallica also debuted their first poster for the flick. The poster can be seen below.
