David Draiman: Disturbed’s Eventual Return Will Be an “Event”

All of the members of Disturbed are now committed to side projects, but once again David Draiman is making sure that all of the Disturbed fans are aware that the band will eventually return. Draiman has stated in the past his intent to return to Disturbed, but with all three offshoots currently doing well and still fielding queries about the future, he's decided once again to clarify the band's position and ask for support while they're off doing other things.

At present the members of Disturbed are divided into three separate projects. Draiman is fronting the more industrial rock band Device. Bassist John Moyer has been lending his skills to the straight-ahead rock outfit Adrenaline Mob. And guitarist David Draiman and drummer Mike Wengren recently announced their new group, Fight or Flight, who will offer their debut disc this summer.

Draiman's Facebook posting addresses all three offshoot projects as well as Disturbed's future. His comments can be read below.

MY DEAR DISTURBED ONES,

WHILE DISTURBED'S HIATUS IS IN EFFECT (AND NONE OF US TRULY KNOW HOW LONG THAT WILL LAST), MYSELF, DAN, MIKE, AND JOHN, WILL CONTINUE TO UPDATE YOU ON THE GOINGS ON/PROJECTS FROM THE DISTURBED FAMILY. THERE'S NO ONE WE'D RATHER SHARE IT WITH, AS YOU, OUR LIFEBLOOD, HAVE GIVEN US EVERYTHING AND WE WOULD BE NOTHING/ARE NOTHING WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT. Device recently topped the chart with their single 'Vilify' from their self-titled debut disc and the band will be seen this summer on the Gigantour trek with Megadeth. Adrenaline Mob has already released the 'Omerta' album and 'Coverta' covers EP follow-up and spent significant time on the road over the last two years. Fight or Flight, meanwhile, just unleashed their first single 'First of the Last,' and more is expected to be heard from them in the coming months.
