Metallica and cars? In India? Oh yes!

The thrash masters will make history (again) when they play in India for the first time on Oct. 28th. Metallica will be headlining the latest edition of F1 Rocks, the series of live and televised concerts staged alongside the Formula One (F1) Grand Prix races, reports Billboard.

The F1 races are considered the world's biggest and fastest single-seater motor-racing tournament. They are also viewed as one of the most glamorous sports events. An estimated 600 million people view the racing events, which take place on Oct. 30th, with the accompanying Metallica-headlined concert taking place two days before.

30,000 fans will fill the open-air Leisure Valley venue. It's approximately two hours from race track.

Hard, fast rock and hard, fast guitars? Sounds like a headbanger's dream.
