Metallica Reissues ‘Load’ on Vinyl

Metallica continue to reissue their back catalog on vinyl. This time, the band's sixth studio album, 'Load,' gets the special treatment. The reissued album will be available for fans in two formats. Audiophiles can pick up a standard double-LP set, pressed on 180-gram vinyl. There's also a deluxe box including four extra-heavy 12-inch records. The deluxe set comes with a lyric sheet insert. The audio on the reissues is half-speed mastered from the original analog tapes.

Metallica originally released 'Load' in 1996. The album spent four straight weeks atop the Billboard chart and features several singles, including 'King Nothing' and 'Until It Sleeps.'

The vinyl reissue of 'Load' is available now in America and in other parts of the world July 5. The reissues are available via Metallica's online store. 'Re-Load' is next in line for a vinyl reissue.
