Katy Perry Gets Power Metal Treatment [Watch]

One of the Internet’s most entertaining trends is seeing pop songs get a full metal makeover. Four years ago, Katy Perry‘s single ‘I Kissed A Girl’ fell prey to metal’s talons. Amassing over one million views since 2009, this interpretation of the hit pop song seems to be a favorite in the metal community!

The power metal version of ‘I Kissed A Girl’ sounds quite a lot like a Kamelot, instrumentally of course. A fun thing to do with this video is to prank your friends. The song starts off like an ordinary power metal song, allowing you to trick your friends into thinking you’ve found a new awesome power metal band. When Katy Perry’s voice comes in, you can watch the look of disgust on your friend’s face. Let us know how it goes!
