Congrats are in order for In Flames, as the band's new album 'Siren Charms' has been voted by Noisecreep's readers as the September 2014 Release of the Month.

It was a neck-and-neck battle for most of the month with 'Siren Charms' taking an early lead before being caught and passed by Evergrey's 'Hymns for the Broken.' But in the end, In Flames rallied to take the title, followed closely by Evergrey, with Cannibal Corpse's 'A Skeletal Domain' and Motionless in White's 'Reincarnate' placing a distant third and fourth.

'Siren Charms' is already off to a solid start as the band released the single 'Rusted Nail' back in June, while a video for 'Through Oblivion' followed in August. The new album offered a change of pace for the band, who left the comforts of their traditional studio to record at Germany's legendary Hansa Studio.

Frontman Anders Friden recently told Full Metal Jackie, "It was a challenging album to record because we used half the time we did last time, but at the same time we went away to a very nice, legendary studio and it’s great to be part of that — being there, doing the album in Hansa Berlin."

He added, "I feel this is where we are today, and we always try to bring everything that we have done with us, but at the same time we want to take our songs further and wider and forward and we never look to the past and said, 'Oh this is wrong, now it should be this and or that.' I feel we have everything right now where we are, as people, you know? So, I guess it represents the five members right now in the life, where we are."

In Flames' 'Siren Charms' will be released Sept. 9 and it's available for pre-order at Amazon and iTunes. You can catch In Flames supporting the album on tour in Europe this fall, followed by a late year trek in the U.S. See all of their dates here.

Once again, congrats to In Flames! 'Siren Charms' is the September 2014 Noisecreep Release of the Month.
