Talk about a big year! First Ace Frehley entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his work with KISS and now he's releasing a new solo album called 'Space Invader' that is whetting the appetites of Noisecreep's readers, who have voted the disc the August 2014 Release of the Month.

'Space Invader' took the lead after the first week of voting, fell back to second briefly, but eventually reclaimed the top spot over Capture the Crown's 'Reign of Terror,' Eluveitie's 'Origins' and Big Engine's 'Shot Like a Rocket.'

Frehley holed himself away in a remote California studio to create 'Space Invader' and he feels he's come out with a harder edged effort than his previous work. He added, "Life on Earth has been very good to me and the body of work I've created over the years has withstood the test of time. Today I see no obstacles before me and my creativity has never been more fine-tuned. Growing up in an Alien world has enhanced my senses and allowed me to succeed where others would have failed. The best is yet to come."

The guitar great has already released the single 'Gimme a Feelin',' which can be heard here. The disc also includes a cover of the Steve Miller Band classic, 'The Joker' and the standout cut 'Reckless.' 'Space Invader' also features the amazing artwork of Ken Kelly, the cover artist who previously worked on KISS' 'Destroyer' and 'Love Gun' records.

Look for Ace Frehley's 'Space Invader' in stores as of Aug. 19. The disc is currently available for pre-order at both iTunes and Amazon. You can also pick up a variety of bundle options as well that include such items as the 'Space Invader' vinyl, an album t-shirt, an 'Ace Invader' poster, an embroidered patch and beanie, an Ace Frehley PikCard and an album art slipmat at this location.

Once again, Noisecreep would like to congratulate Ace Frehley, as the fans have voted 'Space Invader' as the August 2014 Release of the Month.
