Ireland's Glyder have a discography that proves they're adept students of the sound and spirit of '70s classic rock. The combo's musical journey began in 2004 at a Phil Lynott tribute gig in Dublin. Since then, the band have cranked out some of the tastiest jams this side of vintage Bad Company and some of the more melodic New Wave of British Heavy Metal bands. Now armed with a new powerhouse vocalist named Jackie Robinson, Glyder are poised to breakthrough their current underground status.

Next month Glyder will be releasing 'Backroads to Byzantium,' the band's fourth studio album. Noisecreep has partnered with the Irish rockers to bring you the premiere of 'Fade to Dust,' a cut off the killer record.

Listen to 'Fade to Dust' From Glyder

Glyder guitarist and founding member Bat Kinane gave Noisecreep some background on 'Fade to Dust':

"When I was writing for the new album, I went back to an old hard drive I had and found some riffs I wrote back in 2006, just after we made our debut album. I put them together with some bass and drums and sent them to Jackie, our new vocalist, He sent back an mp3 of his vocal with a chorus that went, "We all live to rock/we will never stop."

"I said, "Jackie, the critics will slaughter us if that goes on the record, we aren't exactly Twister Sister [laughs]. So he came back a few weeks later with the chorus, "We all fade to dust/ there's never enough of this life." I thought that was much better and what Glyder is all about. Considering that the lyrics are about growing old and dying, I still think it's an uplifting song. The solo and harmony guitars are great too and I'm "dead" proud of it," laughs Kinane.

Glyder's 'Backroads to Byzantium' will hit stores on October 25th via SPV/Steamhammer.
