White Noise: News on Metallica, Fu Manchu, Iwrestledabearonce, Gwen Stacy and More
During the 1990s, it was awesome being a New York Yankees fan. Scott Brosius, Paul O'Neill, Tino Martinez, Bernie, Chuck, Jeter. Then, 9/11 happened, and ever since, it seems as though the Yanks have struggled to get back to the World Series. But this season, something tells me they're going all the way. I just have that same feeling I remember getting every October during the '90s. I mean, A-Rod's bat is actually working, and the team's come-from-behind victories harken back to the 1996 postseason. Sure, I understand that most Americans don't like my home team. And yes, they spend millions every year to get the top free agents. But I'm telling you here and now: the Yankees will be bringing the commissioner's trophy back to the Bronx. By the way, has anyone else noticed Blabbermouth's been down for a week? Let's get to the heavy metal news.
+ Here's yet another list for everyone to argue about. Metal Review has come up with its list of 'The 100 Most Essential Heavy Metal Albums of the Decade.' The first 10 include Morbid Angel's 'Gateways to Annihilation,' In Flames' 'Clayman,' Behemoth's 'Zos Kia Cultus,' Lamb of God's 'As the Palaces Burn' and Neurosis' 'Given to the Rising.' Who do you think should make the list?
