Since their formation in 2015, fans have been patiently waiting to see what will come next for Joey Jordison's new band VIMIC. The wait is finally over, as the group has announced their debut album Open Your Omen, due out in early 2018. In addition, they've also released their initial single "Fail Me (My Temple)" featuring Megadeth's Dave Mustaine.

Mustaine and Jordison might seem like a strange combination on the outset, but hearing their talents coalesce on the single makes the collaboration work well. Mustaine's guitar work makes itself felt in a mid-song solo that gives another texture to the song, providing a little bit of thrash to change up the darkness. Mustaine also helped propel the album by mixing and mastering the entire disc.

Of VIMIC, Dave Mustaine says, "This album wails! Joey Jordison and VIMIC are incredible! High octane drumming and heavy, melodic songs make this band something you definitely need to check out! I dig them so much I laid a solo down on one of their songs, ‘Fail Me (My Temple).’ From there we decided to take them on tour with us down to South America where Megadeth is massive."

Joey Jordison adds, “The riffs, lyrics and drums of Open Your Omen will tell you a lot. We started this record when I was coming out of the Acute Transverse Myelitis condition. It’s literally what saved me and helped me get back to where I’m healthier than ever. These guys and this album pushed me to not only relearn how to walk, but how to play the drums again. Open Your Omen is the rebirth of the rest of my life.”
