The Sword to Serve Up ‘Greetings From …’ Live Album
The Sword have earned a reputation as being a stellar live band that have won over many of their peers in the industry. Now fans will get to embrace that "concert" feel with the group's first ever live album, Greetings From ..., which is on schedule for a May 5 release through Razor & Tie.
The band recorded all of their shows on their fall 2016 trek with Opeth and decided to choose nine of their favorite songs to make up the set. Fans who pre-order the disc via iTunes will get "Maiden, Mother & Crone" as an instant grat track. Other songs on the collection include "Buzzards," "The Chronomancer I: Hubris," "Tears Like Diamonds," "Mist & Shadow," "Agartha," "Tres Brujas," "John the Revelator" and "The Horned Goddess."
You can also order the Greetings From ... collection in vinyl and physical CD options via the band's webstore as well as Razor & Tie's webstore. Both sites have special bundle options available as well with items such as custom laminates, slip mats, t-shirts, hoodies and signed lithographs being add-on options.
The group will also be hitting the road in May in support of the album, and they've also booked a second leg of shows in July. See all of their scheduled dates below. After the run, the group will take a little time off before hopping into the studio in September to start recording their sixth studio album, which is tentatively slated for an early 2018 release.
