Southern California's Epicenter Festival turns five this year and organizers didn't have to look far to find some homegrown talent to mark the occasion. The Offspring will headline the 2013 Epicenter Festival, while fellow veteran SoCal outfits Bad Religion and Pennywise will also take part in the event.

The homegrown vibe was definitely a factor in booking this year's event, as rising SoCal rock outfits Pierce the Veil, Fidlar and Plague Vendor also landed spots on the festival bill. The full lineup for the festival is still coming together, with several more groups yet to be named, but at present the bill is filled out by A Day to Remember, All Time Low and Falling in Reverse.

"Epicenter is celebrating our fifth year and to honor the festival's anniversary we wanted the lineup to reflect not only the heritage of Southern California music but also showcase the most exciting new rock of the day," says Gary Spivack of concert organizers Right Arm Entertainment. "The killer blend of iconic bands like the Offspring, Bad Religion and Pennywise mixed together with A Day to Remember, Pierce the Veil, Fidlar and so much more makes September 21 one Saturday no rock fan should miss."

The fifth annual Epicenter Festival will take place at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, Calif. on Sept. 21. Tickets for the event will go on sale this Friday (June 21) at noon PT via Ticketmaster and Live Nation outlets.
