Misha Mansoor is definitely an eclectic player. His style is difficult to pin down, drawing on a wide variety of influences, but also filled with his own original approach to music. After starting Periphery, it didn’t take long before his and his band's names were mentioned in the same breath as legendary acts, such as Meshuggah and Dream Theater.

Modern prog metal masters Periphery are headed down under to tour Australia as you read this. Right before they headed out though, Noisecreep had a chance to chat with founding member, guitarist Misha Mansoor. He was excited about the trip and the chance to head down and play in support of last year's well-received album, Periphery II: This Time It's Personal...
