Since 1996, Philadelphia instrumental metal band Stinking Lizaveta have created freak-out progressive jazz/stoner metal that has earned them a loyal following. They've toured with Clutch and Corrosion of Conformity, and hotshot producer/Shellac frontman Steve Albini handpicked them for All Tomorrow's Parties in 2004.

In May, they'll launch a 13-date U.S. tour to celebrate the vinyl release of their 2009 album 'Sacrifice and Bliss.' Dates begin in Brooklyn, N.Y. on May 7 and run through May 21 in Pittsburgh.

Stinking Lizaveta were named after a character in the Fyodor Dostoevsky novel 'The Brothers Karamozov.' The band features brothers Yanni (guitar) and Alexi Papadopoulos (upright bass) and Cheshire Agusta (drums).
