Steven Adler All-Star Band, Dio Disciples Lead 4th Annual Ride for Ronnie Concert
The fourth annual Ride for Ronnie Motorcycle Ride and Concert is coming up. Riders will once again get to kick off the day at the Harley-Davidson store in Glendale, Calif., and head up the highway at 11AM PT to the Los Encinos Park, the home to the annual Ride for Ronnie concert.
Eddie Trunk returns as the host of the festivities, while this year's performance lineup will include sets from a Steven Adler-led all-star band, Dio Disciples, Beasto Blanco, One More From the Road, A Classless Act and Railgun.
The 2018 Ride for Ronnie will take place Sunday, May 6, helping the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund raise awareness for cancer prevention and research for a cure. Last year's event raised over $40,000.
The Dio Cancer Fund has been actively backing the research of Dr. David Wong, who has developed a simple, non-invasive saliva swab test that helps with the early detection of specific cancers. The test, called a liquid biopsy, is expected to be available for medical use around the world within the next three years. Since the Dio Cancer Fund was founded in 2010, they have raised over $2 million dollars through their various events and from direct support of the rock and metal community and Dio fans worldwide.
