California rockers Smile Empty Soul, last seen on eOne, releasing the album '3's' back in May of 2012, are back at it already. They are prepping their new album 'Chemicals,' which will be issued via a unique partnership between the band's own Two Disciples Entertainment imprint and Chicago's Pavement Entertainment. The band is in the process of putting the finishing touches on the platter, which they expect to release in the fall.

After bouncing between label homes over the past few years, the band is happy about its current situation, since it affords more control, allows them to call the shots and to dictate their destiny. It's as though they can finally settle in and achieve some record label stability.

"With all that the band has been through over the years, we finally feel at home with forming our own imprint and calling all our own shots," said frontman and guitarist Sean Danielsen. "We are also pleased to announce that we will finally have a proper European release this time around and look forward to getting overseas to the many fans that have waited to see us over the years."

A summer tour is also being planned. But for now, check out the band in these studio photos taken while at the board and while tracking the release. As the band declared when posting the keyhole photos from the studio, making new music is the best job in the world indeed!
