Puscifer, the side project of Tool’s Maynard James Keenan, are readying a handful of releases in the next few months. Among them, a new DVD titled 'What Is…,' is set to arrive on Nov. 26.

Since Puscifer first appeared in 2007, people have struggled to describe the project. Keenan is the group’s only permanent member, and the live performance and multimedia aspects of the band get equal, if not more attention than the music itself. Whether 'What Is…' will clarify the Puscifer picture remains to be seen, though fans can expect more than just a concert film. Along with performance footage, the two-hour DVD includes sketch comedy acts featuring Keenan’s alter egos Billy D, Hildy, and Major Douche.

“This film only scratches the surface of how deep our proverbial rabbit hole goes,” explains Keenan. “What Is… Puscifer is meant to conjure as many questions as it answers.” An accompanying soundtrack will be released simultaneously.

In related news, Puscifer will also be putting out a track-by-track remix album of their sophomore full-length release ‘Conditions of My Parole.’ Titled ‘All-Remixed Up,’ the album will include contributions from Five Knives, Carina Round, PALMS, Sir Mix-A-Lot, and Alain Johannes. The release doesn’t hit stores until Aug. 27, but fans can currently stream it in its entirety via Spin’s website.
