It's been a tumultuous and troubled time in Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin's life. Within the past two years, the rock singer has faced charges related to drug possession, tax evasion, public intoxication and driving with a suspended license, but this latest charge is perhaps Scantlin's most serious allegation to date.

According to TMZ, Scantlin was taken into custody on the afternoon of May 13 after an alleged domestic disturbance between the Puddle of Mudd frontman and his ex-wife, Jessica. The rocker apparently acted violently against his former bride, which was witnessed by a number of people. Scantlin reportedly shook his wife in an aggressive manner and dragged her by her shirt and/or arm.

Police were called to the scene, arriving at a business in West Hollywood, Calif., at around 3:30PM. The authorities spoke with both Scantlin's ex-wife and various witnesses before deciding to arrest the Puddle of Mudd musician, who was reportedly taken into custody with bail set for $20,000.

This latest incident is the second time Scantlin has been arrested in this month alone, having been taken in on two warrants last week after he was pulled over for speeding. One warrant was reportedly related to driving with a suspended license and the other attached to his recent cocaine bust, in which Scantlin pleaded guilty.
