Pierce the Veil Unveil New Single ‘The Divine Zero,’ Name Fill-In For Injured Guitarist
After Pierce the Veil guitarist Tony Perry suffered a mountain bike injury that would put him out of commission for a while, the band needed to find a fill-in for Warped Tour, which kicked off last week. Jesse Barrera, formerly of My American Heart, has been handling guitar duties until Perry is ready to return.
In an Instagram post, Barrera wrote, "Knowing how it is to lose a member for a tour, I didn't hesitate to help my brothers out. So if you're planning on coming to a show, stop and say hi. Prayers for Tony."
Pierce the Veil have also unleashed the new track "The Divine Zero" from their upcoming album. Frontman Vic Fuentes says, "This first single, 'The Divine Zero,' goes out to all of our incredibly supportive fans out there who have been waiting for it! There is nothing more special to us than being able to share new music with all of you, and this is the very first glimpse into our upcoming album."
Fuentes continues, "We’re looking forward to playing this song live and singing along with all of you at the Vans Warped Tour this summer. See you at the shows!" "The Divine Zero" can be downloaded via iTunes.
The Vans Warped Tour runs through Aug. 8 in Auburn, Wash., with Pierce the Veil headed to the U.K. for some shows after that. For all their dates, go here.
