Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon Osbourne: Rocker’s Wife Says He’s “In a Very Dark Place”

Ozzy Osbourne recently admitted his renewed struggles with substance abuse in a very public Facebook post, revealing that he had lapsed into old habits and behaviors over the last 18 months.

In the same post, the rocker denied rumors that he and his wife of 31 years, Sharon, were splitting up. And while Sharon confirms that the two are still together, she's now speaking out about the problems that have plagued the couple.

On her show, "The Talk," she admitted that Ozzy has been a handful and "in a very dark place," something that's she's not happy about it.

"He said he's been using alcohol and prescription drugs for the last year and a half," she confessed. "And that he's been an ass and he's been in a very dark place. That's true. That's very true."

The Osbourne matriarch also shared that her husband was hiding his use from her, which only exacerbated the problem.

"I never knew he was using prescription drugs," she admitted. "I knew he was drinking occasionally but I didn't realize the extent."

The TV host confirmed that "we're not getting divorced" but did express her displeasure with what has transpired. "Am I happy? No. Am I upset? Yes, I am. I'm devastated right now," she explained.

Sharon contextualized what it's like to deal with an addict, saying, "It's a disease that not only hurts the person that has the disease, but it hurts the family. It hurts people who love you."

Despite the turmoil and unrest, she said the family is rock solid and undeterred. "We're dealing with it," she shared. "We've dealt with worse. We're dealing with it and this too shall pass."

And if Ozzy doesn't walk the straight and narrow and kick the habit? Well, he's got an even bigger problem to deal with. As she joked, "Otherwise, my husband will be taken to hospital to get my foot removed from his ass."

Ozzy is currently overseas with Black Sabbath on their reunion tour.
