Nile

Right now, North Carolina's Egypt-obsessed death metal pugilists Nile are getting ready for a tour in the Down Under, which starts in Aukland, New Zealand on May 21. But the band is looking forward to returning to North America on Halloween to launch 'Those Whom the Gods Detest Tour II' in Raleigh, N.C. Joining Nile on the tour will be Roman history-themed gladiators Ex Deo, Tasmanian tech-death band Psycroptic, Norway's Keep of Kalessin and San Diego death-grind outfit Pathology.

Conceptually, having Ex Deo open for Nile makes sense, but the bands decided to tour together not just to provide history lessons for extreme metal fans. Having played on bills with Ex Deo frontman Maurizio Iocono's main band Kataklysm, Nile frontman Karl Sanders is good fiends with Iocono and appears playing a guest solo in the new Ex Deo video for 'The Final War (Battle of Actium).'
