Mötley Crüe bassist/radio show host Nikki Sixx, who is currently smarting from his break up with 'L.A. Ink' star Kat Von D, will release a new book, 'This Is Gonna Hurt.' The book, which is part photo book, part journal, all Nikki Sixx, will be released to book retailers on March 22.

The book collects stories and snapshots spanning the spectrum of Sixx's work and emotions. The book will feature the stories behind the photos, including interviews with the subjects so readers can see life from the perspective of those labeled as "freaks." Sixx's other book, 'Heroin Diaries,' which chronicled his addiction-fueled heyday, was a commercial success and landed on the New York Times Best-Seller List, as it offered an insight into the bassist which we had not previously seen.

Sixx's other band, SIXX: A.M., will record an album to be released in conjunction with 'This Is Gonna Hurt,' with songs inspired by Sixx's photographs. Sixx even jokingly Tweeted earlier this month that while he was happy to finish the book, he could have used a little help, Tweeting the following statement: "Next time remind me to use a ghostwriter."

From our 'that's awkward' file: the foreword to 'This Is Gonna Hurt' was written by Von D, who has already moved on and started dating Sandra Bullock's ex-husband, Jesse James.
