Linkin Park Auction Studio Visit to Aid Oklahoma Tornado Victims
For years, Linkin Park's Music for Relief charitable arm has been responsible for helping victims of natural disasters get back on their feet. Music for Relief's latest mission is to aid those in Oklahoma recently ravaged by major destruction caused by the tornados in the state.
As part of Music for Relief's latest venture, Linkin Park are auctioning off a day in the studio with the band while they work on new material. The winner will be the first to hear new music from the group as it's being put together. Also included in the package is a flight to Los Angeles and lodging for the winner and a guest in a four-star hotel.
Here's how it works. To enter the Linkin Park contest, you simply need to make a $10 donation at the Omaze.com Linkin Park contest site. Proceeds from the auction will go to the All Hands Volunteers organization, as they remove debris, help families salvage their belongings and participate in other volunteer activities in the Moore and Oklahoma City-area communities. Every entry helps provide vital services for children and their families currently recovering from the destruction in Oklahoma. The deadline to enter is this Friday (June 14), so make sure to enter now.
Those interested may also donate to potentially win two other contests as well, granting access to meet Juanes backstage at a New York show or to join the Crystal Method in Los Angeles at their album release party.
In addition, those wishing to help out All Hands' volunteer efforts in Oklahoma may apply here. All participating volunteers will receive a special Music for Relief t-shirt designed by Linkin Park's co-vocalist Mike Shinoda.
