10 Scariest Rock + Metal Mascots

As every rock and metal fan knows, there’s far more to love about our favorite bands than just their music, including their mascots, which can be pretty scary at times.

In fact, a great mascot can have a huge impact on how adored and famous the group becomes, and while there have been dozens of awesome ones, we wouldn’t say that all of them are terrifying. (Sorry, Motörhead’s Snaggletooth, Avenged Sevenfold’s Deathbat and Witchery’s Ben Wrangle.)

However, quite a few are sufficiently eerie and with the Halloween season now in full swing, there’s no better time to rank the top 10 in order of scariness!

Keep in mind that we aren’t saying these are the best mascots ever and we aren’t taking anything else about these bands into consideration (such as their music, live presence, personal/professional turmoil, etc.)

Instead, we’re simply looking at the mascots themselves and deciding which ones make us want to run to the hills and find our mommies and daddies ASAP.
