Howard Jones Leaves Killswitch Engage Tour, Phil Labonte Takes Over
Killswitch Engage's Howard Jones has left the band's current headlining run with the Devil Wears Prada and Dark Tranquility as a result of what the band's describing as "unforeseen circumstances." There is some speculation that Jones is suffering from back pain and will be seeking treatment soon for his injuries, but nothing has been officially confirmed.
The tour, which is booked through the end of March, will continue as planned with All That Remains and former Shadows Fall frontman Phil Labonte filling in for Jones temporarily for the next few shows, until "the KsE guys can determine what the plan will be for the remaining tour dates."
Labonte flew to Florida on Tuesday to meet up with Killswitch, and performed with the band during last night's concert in Orlando.
Killswitch Engage have contributed a previously unreleased song to the digital EP soundtrack for the PlayStation 3's 'God of War III.' The EP is slated for release in March, and it also features new tracks from Trivium, Opeth and Dream Theater.
