Hellyeah guitarist Tom Maxwell recently expressed uncertainty regarding the future of the band.

The group's sixth album Welcome Home — out this Friday (Sept. 27) — features the final recordings of drummer Vinnie Paul, the Pantera icon who helped launch Hellyeah over ten years ago. Following the drummer's death, however, Maxwell said he doesn't know if there will be another Hellyeah album after that.

That's what the musician told Outburn in a new interview shared Tuesday (Sept. 24). But while the Hellyeah guitarist made it clear that he'd like to do another record, he said he's not yet ready to do one.

"The only thing we're focusing on right now is honoring this record, touring it and honoring Vince with every show that we play," said Maxwell. "So, we're just gonna have to see. I can't really forward think that far ahead. Whether there's ever going to be another record, I don't know. Would I like to do one? Sure. Am I ready to do one? No. It's too early to say anything. We're just gonna take this one day, one tour, one song at a time right now."

The musician's sentiment aligns with his previous statements. Just a few days ago, the guitarist conveyed similar doubts regarding future Hellyeah activity after the band's upcoming touring commitments.

"We don't know what tomorrow will bring," Maxwell told Loudwire in an exclusive interview last week. "We just finished our first tour in two years, our first one without Vince. It really helped us, and it healed us a lot."

Stone Sour's Roy Mayorga is currently drumming for Hellyeah. The band set out on tour later this year. Maxwell recently underwent surgery for a hand injury that threatened his guitar-playing ability.
